The Wright Sisters Group | Union Realty Brokerage Inc. - The Beaches, Leslieville, Riverdale and East York Real Estate Specialists – Your East End Toronto Real Estate Team

Located in west Toronto, this neighbourhood was named after the park itself. Spanning from Roncesvalles Ave to Parkside Drive, North from Bloor Street West to Dundas Street West and West again to Jane Street; creating an L shaped neighborhood.

The park itself encompasses almost 400 acres of public green parkland, making it a place where you can find something for everyone on a leisurely afternoon. High Park includes a fishing pond, an outdoor theatre, picnic grounds, a large children’s playground, restaurant, historic museum and a flower garden. High Park is also home to a sports facility including tennis, baseball, soccer, lawn bowling, swimming and skating, as well as walking, jogging and cycling paths found throughout the park.

Visitors and residents love this neighborhood for its European charm. The neighborhoods center is located at Bloor Street West named “Bloor West Village”, where walking along Bloor you will smell the delicious scent of freshly baked goods from the bakeries and delicatessens; some bakeries specializing in homemade perogies and other Ukrainian delicacies. This neighbourhood has a great mix of retail shops including boutique clothing shops, book stores, restaurants and cafes that are mostly independent businesses rather than big box chains.

This neighbourhood is filled with charm and warmth from the Victorian and Edwardian homes that line the residential streets surrounding Toronto’s largest park. Typically homes in this neighbourhood are not for first time home buyers as the price for a home in this area is on the high end of the scale versus other neighbourhoods.
